Ceremonies at Wesley Performing Arts Centre

Wesley Performing Arts Centre is centrally located in the CBD of Horsham and carparking is available in the streets surrounding the centre making it the perfect venue for Weddings, Christenings, Funerals and Memorials.

Wesley Performing Arts Centre began life in 1912 as the Wesley Methodist Church.
In 1977, the Methodist, Congregational and Presyterian Churches united to form the Uniting Church in Australia. This left a surplus of buildings and so in 1992 Wesley Performing Arts & Cultural Centre was formed and purchased the local red brick buiding on the corner of Roberts Avenue and Urquhart Street, Horsham with its beautiful pipe organ and warm timber interior for use as a venue to present performing arts for the Wimmera.
In 1998-1999 substantial redevelopment was carried out and a new foyer with kitchen/bar, dressing rooms and toilets were added to improve the venue and it has become recognised as one the premier recital venues in regional Victoria.

Weddings

With its welcoming semi-religious aura and no denominational affiliation, Wesley Performing Arts Centre offers the perfect venue for a civil Wedding or non-denominational religious ceremony that will mean everyone will feel at home.
Facilities on offer include two grand pianos and the Rodgers Electronic Organ should you wish to include a more traditional feel to the soundtrack for your Wedding.

Funerals & Memorial Celebrations

Retaining the feel of a church, Wesley Performing Arts Centre offers a calm and reverential setting for a dignified Funeral or Memorial Celebration.
Wesley now offers access to data projection facilities, should you wish to you can screen images or video as part of your Memorial.
With the on-site kitchen located in the foyer, it is easy to hold a simple morning or afternoon tea before or after your Memorial allowing your friends and guests to mingle in welcoming surroundings.
