The Wimmera Eisteddfod will be held in September 2012 under the auspices of Wesley Performing Arts & Cultural Centre Inc.

Entries closing date for the 2012 Eisteddfod is 27 July, 2012.

ENTRY CONDITIONS:
1 All entries must be accompanied by the correct fees.
2 The age on September 15, 2011, will be deemed the age of the competitor.
3 An accompanist is provided for vocal sections but competitors may use their own or
CDs or tapes but all equipment must be supplied by the competitor.
4 Competitors may be disqualified if not present when called to appear.
Entry fees will not be refunded.
5 An EXTRA COPY of music must be provided for the adjudicator.
BARS MUST BE NUMBERED at the beginning of each line.
The copy must have a piece of paper attached to the top of the first page
bearing the section number and competitor's number.
6 Students may enter only their current grade level.
7 Students may play only once in a duet, trio or ensemble section.
8 Only one piece is to be presented in a section with the exception of
Piano Championships, Choirs and Ensemble groups.
9 A competitor may not play the same piece of music in two sections,
except for the Accompanying section.
10 The Committee will not be held responsible for any copyright infringement
relating to photocopies. Entrants submit them at their own risk.
All photocopies will be destroyed at the end of the section.
11 The committee reserves the right to divide, amalgamate, adjust age limits
or delete any section. In the latter case, the entry fee will be refunded.
12 The Adjudicator holds the right to withhold any prize in any section where
insufficient merit has been displayed.
13 This competition is open to amateurs only; an "amateur" to mean a person,
the major part of whose income, is not derived from the exercise of
his or her talent in the particular section in which he or she may enter.
14 Any approach to the Adjudicator by a competitor, or a parent, teacher or
friend of a competitor, during the competition, is absolutely forbidden.
15 A competitor may not perform a piece with which he or she has previously
won a place in this Eisteddfod.
16 If a student is absent in a duet, trio or ensemble section, a TEACHER MAY NOT
take the place of the absentee.
17 TEACHERS are limited to conducting ONLY.
18 Competitors should be in the hall at least 20 minutes before the scheduled beginning
of their sections.
19 An Adjudicator's report for competitors will be available in the foyer after each section. |
