2010 Awards Concert, Saturday June 12 at 7.30pm

Foe 2010 the Awards announcement will form part of the Concert given by current Weight Family Foundation recipient Matthew Binion. All applicants are required to be in attendance at the concert.

The Weight Family Foundation was established under the auspices of the Wesley Performing Arts Centre to honour the enormous contribution that the Weight Family has made to the development of music and the performing arts.

Wesley Performing Arts Centre has pride of place in our community providing a wonderful performing space. It is now important for us to encourage and create opportunities for people who live in our region to develop their talents.

The Foundation aims to raise $200,000 over a five-year period which will support the development of performing artists and music in the Horsham region such as:
- Workshops for performing artists (musicians, actors) of all ages.
- Scholarships
- Skills development programs (technical, stage management, etc.)
- Master classes and mentor programs
- Other arts development related activities.

We invite you to join us in building the cultural life of Horsham and supporting the development of music and performing arts through the Weight Family Foundation. All donations to the Foundation are tax deductible and the funds will be managed by the committee of management of Wesley Performing Arts Centre in conjunction with accountants Capitis.

The annual Weight Family Foundation Scholarship is now open for applicants in the performing arts area.

The Weight Family Foundation allocates funds annually to encourage and create opportunities for people living in our region to develop their talents in the performing arts.

In 2010, the Weight Family Foundation has $3000 to award as scholarships to applicants who meet the criteria as set out in the application form.
